Marvel has released the first look at the 4-issue comic series JOURNEY TO STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI – CAPTAIN PHASMA #1, a story that will bridge the gap between The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi!
The duo of writer Kelly Thompson (Hawkeye, Star Wars Annual) and artist Marco Checchetto (Star Wars: Shattered Empire, Star Wars: Screaming Citadel) bring us the story of how the chrome clad Stormtrooper escaped the trash compactor in the final moments before the destruction of Starkiller Base. The mini-series will more than likely lead into her appearance in The Last Jedi.
There are no words associated with the released panels, but they appear to depict the final moments of TFA from the perspective of Phasma. The art from Marco Checchetto looks fantastic and will certainly be one of the highlights of this mini-series.
Captain Phasma's back story will also be explored in the novel Star Wars: Phasma from Delilah S. Dawson (The Perfect Weapon), due out September 1st, 2017.
